By signing a contract for grant No BG 07-PDPC 01 of 19.19.2014 between the Ministry of Health as a Programme Operator and the National Centre for Public Health and Analyses the implementation of predefined project "Improving control and information systems for risk prevention in health care” has started"

The main objective of the project is to improve public health by development of information systems in health care.

The specific objectives of the project are:

Development of new methodological and methodical approaches for collecting, processing and analyzing of health information tailored to identified target groups’ needs.

Creating opportunities for improving control, prevention and treatment of diabetes and rare diseases by development of appropriate information environment.

Development and implementation of national health registries for diabetes and rare diseases, serving as fundamentals /model/for elaboration of medical records in all health aspects.

Creating conditions for implementation of European and improvement of national measures regarding electromagnetic radiation and emissions for the population.

The project activities aim at:

Drafting/developing of national health registries for diabetes and rare diseases based on prepared and analyzed indicators and needs.

Developing of specific rules and methods in the field of specialized national health registries of patients with diabetes and rare diseases.

Creating exemplary/conceptual models for development and implementation of health registries for diabetes and rare diseases.

Pilot implementation of the developed models of registries for diabetes and rare diseases that will be the basis of further use.

Improving control over radiation sources and electromagnetic emissions oriented to population.

Improving the existing information base on complaints of people living near "sensitive" zones with sources of EMR (electromagnetic radiation) in favour of the controlling authorities, medical professionals and local authorities.

Target groups and final beneficiaries of the project:

Patient with diabetes type 1 and type 2

Patients with rare diseases

Families having children with diabetes or with genetic disorders

Families with a history of diabetes

Families with fertility problems

Pregnant women

All newborns

Population living in urban areas with high radiation

GPs, medical specialists and others. 

 

The project’s total value is BGN 1,052,258.05 (538,01.00) and its term of execution is 30 April 2017.
